Privacy Policy
For the IDM Pro Integration browser extension and the IDM Pro desktop app.

- We do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal data.
- We have no servers that receive your data. No analytics, no tracking, no ads.
- Everything the extension handles is passed only to the IDM Pro app on your own computer.
1. What the extension does
IDM Pro Integration hands downloads you start in your browser to the IDM Pro desktop download manager installed on your computer, which then downloads the file using multiple connections. The extension communicates with the desktop app through Chrome's native messaging, a local channel that never leaves your device.
2. Information the extension handles
To hand a download to the desktop app, the extension handles the following, only at the moment you download something:
- Download details: the file URL, file name, file size, and file type.
- Referrer: the address of the page the download started from.
- Cookies for the download URL: so files that require you to be signed in still download correctly. Only cookies for that specific URL are read.
- Browser user agent: so the file server responds the same way it would to your browser.
- Your settings: such as whether capture is on and which file types to skip, stored locally in your browser.
This information is sent only to the IDM Pro desktop app on your computer. It is not sent to us or to any third party, and the extension does not keep a record of it.
3. What we do not collect
- We do not collect your browsing history.
- We do not read or record the content of the pages you visit.
- We do not log keystrokes, clicks, or other activity.
- We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, location, or payment information.
- We do not use analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
4. Network connections
The extension itself makes no network requests to our servers or any other remote server. The IDM Pro desktop app connects only to the servers that host the files you choose to download, exactly as your browser would. For video pages you choose to download, the app contacts that video's website to find the available streams.
5. Permissions and why they are needed

tabs | Read the address of the active tab, when you use the popup to download a pasted URL, to send as the download referrer. |
Access to all sites | Downloads can start on any website. Used to read cookies for download URLs, detect clicks on file links, and optionally show a download button over media. |
6. Data storage
Extension settings are stored locally in your browser using Chrome storage. The desktop app stores your download list and settings locally on your computer. You can delete this data at any time by removing the extension or uninstalling the app.
7. Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer any user data to third parties. We do not use any data for advertising, for purposes unrelated to downloading your files, or to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
8. Children's privacy
IDM Pro does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
